There are few factors that one must consider when shipping freight to Sri Lanka. No matter what type of cargo you want to send there are always a few factors that remain the same in order to find the right freight forwarding company to handle your goods.
Experience and Reputation is an important element to consider when selecting the right freight forwarder to use. Here are a few pointers to consider to make sure that the company you are dealing with are reliable. Check feedback on Google reviews- An established company would most likely be digitally saavy. Even though smaller companies may not be optimized for Google and are still reliable, the majority of businesses are looking for security. A long established company most likely means that they have the expertise and experience to handle goods and shipment. Doing a google search is a good way to find out what customers are saying and the experiences they had with the company.
Though you may need to pay more for larger companies you must analyze the priorities of your business. For small shipments that you may not be in a hurry, sea freight maybe your best option. Though it takes longer to arrive , it is a lot more economical than air freight. Air freight services generally take less than a week to arrive where sea freight service can take up to 45 days. Also if you are a smaller company you may want to select smaller forwarders as they may be more economical. Still do your google search and maybe check social media and visit their premises in order to gauge whether they are trustworthy and reliable.

- www.cargosrilanka.com.au/services.htm – They are a small shipping company but has been in the industry for a while . For small air and sea freight shipments you can contact them.
- auspost.com.au – For small parcels you can go to you local post office and send mail or any other small parcels. For larger shipments it is better you use the first two as it can be quite costly.
